What’s Next?
The church council is engaged in research and planning how to best move forward with a new model of both virtual and in person worship. In our partnership with the Episcopal Church in Almaden, we are also actively working toward a future of shared ministry that serves the community of San Jose and Almaden Valley in new and meaningful ways outside of the worship space.
We have adopted a very new approach to “being church” in a world where we’ve all had the benefit of learning how much we are able to do remotely and are being served by a remote pastor. Rev. Dr. Shelly Wilson is our supply pastor at this time, but does not reside locally. She works with us remotely from her home in Colorado. We are additionally blessed in this season to have Rev. Christina Hutchins, a “child of our church,” live in the pulpit the second Sunday of each month.
Continue to check for updates or read the mid-week emails as we progress. Keep joining us for Zoom Coffee fellowship, or for other virtual gatherings. More will be revealed as we move forward, and we have a great deal of the work of Being Church we can pursue outside the walls of the sanctuary.
